nDreams brings Near Light into the family

The teams have been working so well together that nDreams decided to embark on their first studio acquisition!

Farnborough based studio nDreams have been working with Near Light for half a decade, in which time, nDreams have published both Perfect and Shooty Fruity by the Brighton based studio. The two teams have been long time collaborators, sharing a passion for innovative gameplay and VR/AR which lead to nDreams making the decision to acquire the studio this week.

nDreams CEO, Patrick O’Luanaigh had this to say about the news:

“To be making our debut acquisition is yet another incredibly exciting milestone for nDreams. For other development studios with whom we are similarly aligned on vision and strategy, there’s certainly potential for more acquisitions in our future.”

The founders of Near Light - Paul Mottram and Ben Hebb - come with a wealth of experience and knowledge, having worked on titles such as Singstar and Guitar Hero. Excitingly, this acquisition will connect the Guildford.Games hub - through nDreams - with Brighton, which is a bubbling melting pot of game development itself!

nDreams have grown substantially in recent memory - adding both nDreams Studio Elevation and nDreams Studio Orbital, two fully remote studios, to sit alongside their GU HQ. This acquisition is a sign that the studio are still hungry for more, and we can’t wait to see what they get up to next!
