Mojiworks bring the OMG Social to Guildford

Yes Guildford Devs, you heard correctly! Out Making Games, in collaboration with Mojiworks, is bringing the ever-popular OMG Social to Guildford – and we cannot contain our excitement! Join the party this Wednesday 2nd November BUT don’t forget to sign up via this Eventbrite link

In our humble opinion, the very networking events come with drinks, nibbles, the most fabulous entertainment known to humankind and – most importantly - outstretched arms ready to welcome you and celebrate LGBTQ+ folk in the local games industry. It’s something we strive to achieve with our events, but OMG x Mojiworks look like they’re about to set a new Guildford standard!

To get the super official low down on what to expect, G.G caught up with Mojiworks' Hannah Wiggins…

How did Mojiworks come to be involved in Out Making Games?

Everyone at Mojiworks is a big fan of Out Making Games, and we love what they do to empower and celebrate LGBTQ+ people in the UK games industry. We wanted to support Out Making Games and join them in working towards their goals, so we were excited to become a sponsor of OMG in May this year!

What are your hopes and dreams for the event next week?

We can't wait to meet other LGBTQ+ people in the games industry as well as allies. It's the first OMG meetup in Guildford and we're really proud to be a part of it. There is also a great lineup of entertainment for the event itself with fabulous drag artists Monroe and Coco performing; it should be an evening not to be missed!

If there’s anyone from the GU LGBTQIA+ community reading this who hasn’t made their mind up about attending the event yet, what would you say to them?

Come and join us for a relaxed and enjoyable evening - it will be an informal social with the opportunity for casual networking, as well as some not-to-be-missed entertainment. We can't wait to meet you!
