Crafted by Salix Games, Dance of Death: Du Lac & Fey has been meticulously researched to bring the Ripper story to life, all the while shining a light upon previously untold stories. The stellar line up of voice talent includes Penny Dreadful and Tudors actress Perdita Weeks as Lady Morgana Le Fey, Dragon Age and Torchwood star Gareth David-Lloyd as Sir Lancelot Du Lac, and Utopia and Black Mirror actress Alexandra Roach as Mary Kelly, each guiding us on a journey through the twisted streets of Whitechapel. With beautifully rendered graphics that blend 2D and 3D, as well as lovingly composed music and soundscapes, Dance of Death: Du Lac & Fey breathes new life into the adventure genre, putting its own mark on this often-misunderstood period of history.
Salix Games are an award winning independent game studio, creators of Dance of Death Du Lac & Fey, founded in 2016 by BAFTA Breakthrough Brit, Jessica Saunders. We pride ourselves in creating engaging experiences and drawing on real life to weave enchanting, honest tales.
We have extensive experience in AAA development, having cut our teeth at studios such as (but not limited to) Lionhead Studios, Codemasters, Xbox, Splash Damage, SEGA, Ubisoft, Ghost Games, Rare and Creative Assembly. We’ve honed our game making skills whilst working alongside some of the best in the business, and on some of the greatest franchises across the board, and now we want to make great games of our own.
We create carefully crafted stories, attentively considered scripts, gorgeous realised environments and down right tremendous audio. We want to weave stories and introduce characters that intrigue, games that wrap players up so tightly that the real world can be put on hold, if only for a few hours...
We're passionate about captivating narrative games, aimed at an adult audience. We believe our audience should be treated with the respect, therefore we don’t shy away from the realness of the subject matter we work with. We challenge our players to adjust their perspective and consider that not everything they see or believe, in our games or IRL, is what it appears to be. We also recognise the importance of seeking lesser heard fables and perspectives to depict in our games, and aim to give them the space they need to resound and be heard.
We want to push boundaries, we have big dreams and we aren’t afraid of taking a shot at realising them. Dance of Death: Du Lac and Fey, and the subsequent Director’s Cut, are just the first steps on our journey, that we hope will be a long one, and we’d love you to join us.
