11.00 am Digital Schoolhouse workshop: Part Baked Games 1
What's this workshop about
Investigate how game mechanics are used to create rules in computer games. Suitable for ages: 5-16 years
What do you need to take part?
· Printed copy of our worksheets or paper and a pen or pencil. Chairs x 2 for a game of musical chairs and any music that you can play and pause for a game of musical statues
· Optional items – newspaper, magazine, scrap paper, keys, a ball, elastic bands. If you have outdoor space available to you, you may even wish to use a football

12 noon Digital Schoolhouse workshop: Part Baked Games 2
What will you learn?
Learn how to build common game mechanics in Construct 3 - How to use sequence, selection, and repetition to create your game mechanics. Also, how to work with variables and various forms of input and output in your game
What do you need to take part?
· Laptop or PC with access to the internet via Google Chrome
· A copy of https://editor.construct.net and access to Runthegauntlet file
1.05 pm Digital Schoolhouse workshop: Part Baked Games Chef’s edition 1
What's this workshop about?
Part-Baked Games: Chef's edition has been developed in partnership with Outright Games and introduces students to the concept of prototyping; both on paper and digitally. Learners begin by creating a paper prototype for their own version of Gigantosaurus and then a digital prototype based on these ideas. Suitable for ages: 5-16 years
What do you need to take part?

· Coloured pens or pencils
· Digital or printed copy of our reference sheets

What’s this workshop about?
Learn how to take your paper prototype, compare it to the released game, and make improvements to your prototype idea. Suitable for ages: 5-16 years
What do you need to take part?

· Coloured pens or pencils
· Optional: - Nintendo Switch
· Copy of the game Gigantosaurus game
3.19pm Digital Schoolhouse workshop: Playing for the Planet; Eco Gamer
What’s the workshop about
Eco Gamer has been developed by Digital Schoolhouse in partnership with BAFTA. Following the success of Football Manager 2020’s environmentally friendly packaging, SEGA would like you to design your very own social media campaign that will raise awareness of how packaging can be designed to be more planet friendly. Are you ready to play for the planet? Suitable for ages: 7-16 years
What do you need to take part?
· Paper - Coloured pens/pencils
· Your sustainable packaging design
