IT’S BACK! The Guildford Games Festival and Awards 2021!

Following the huge success of 2020’s event, Guildford.Games and the Guildford Games Festival Committee are excited to announce that the Festival and Awards will be back for 2021!

Fully charged with interviews and panels with some of Guildford’s world renowned local studios and developers - plus some well known faces from outside of games TBC, watch this space! - the festival will bring you behind-the-scenes insight from some of your favourite game makers, sprinkled with valuable ‘cheat codes’ for anyone looking to get into the industry!

During the festival, you’ll be treated to panels, 1-2-1 interviews and fireside chats with our sponsors - including many celebrated Guildford Studios and Developers! The Festival will take place on Friday 3rd December, as a virtual event - streaming on Twitch (other platforms TBC) - whilst the invite only Awards Ceremony will happen on Thursday 2nd December at Guildford’s The Boileroom!

We’re delighted to announce that the Festival’s headline sponsor is Media Molecule, so expect to hear from the minds behind Dreams and LittleBigPlanet! Alongside The Molecules, the Festival and Awards 2021 are also proudly sponsored by:

Charles Russel Speechlys, Supermassive Games, Enterprise M3, Guildford Borough Council, University of Surrey, Renaissance PR, Glowmade, Microsoft, Hello Games, Perpetual, Criterion, Stellar Entertainment, Liquid Crimson, UKIE, Etch Play and Nordisk Games!

If you’re a Guildford dev - past or present - you can join us in the official G.G Discord (“The GG Devcord”, no less) here. In the coming weeks, we’ll be opening discussions about which topics and talks we’ll cover in the Festival interviews - and we want to hear from YOU! We’ll also be opening the award nominations via the Devcord, and you’ll be able to both nominate and vote for your Guildford Game Dev Heroes before the event!
