Guildford.Games Steam Sale Roundup

Over 2 million views of G.G Steam Sale 22 content!

From 2nd-5th December this year, G.G ran its annual Steam sale and broadcast - alerting over 2 million Steam users to the wealth of Guildford game dev talent whilst offering some excellent bargains to players to boot!

The 3rd annual Guildford.Games Steam Sale featured a host of fantastic games at delicious discounts, and also streamed trailers and dev diaries from the heart of Guildford games via the platform for the duration of the sale.

32 games were included in the sale - which really paints a picture of just how important Guildford’s development studios are to the wider Games Industry ecosystem and to video games players.

Among the AAA titles on sale were the Need for Speed series, No Man’s Sky, The Dark Pictures Anthology and Two Point Campus. Guildford’s indie studios were also fully represented - with Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker, Tin Hearts, Dance of Death: Du Lac and Fey and SENTRY sitting amongst many other great discounted indie titles!

The Steam broadcast ran simultaneously with the sale and featured trailers & exclusive insight from some of Guildford’s games studios. It was seen by 2.7 million unique viewers and featured on the Steam front page. No fewer than 17 Guildford games made the Steam top 500 throughout the event, with 7 games breaking into the top 300 for a time.

The Guildford.Games Committee strives to both raise the profile of the creative hub present in Guildford whilst also connecting & supporting our resident developers, the G.G Steam sale is an important date in our calendar. Special thanks goes to Gary Burchell, Dan Thomas and the team at Liquid Crimson as well as all the game studios who opted into the event.
