Demonfish was founded in 2017 by our Lead Artist (Leo) and our Lead Developer (Adam). At a Christmas party of the company we worked for, we began talking about our passion for video games and indie projects we'd attempted over the years individually. With one of us seeking an artist, and the other seeking a programmer to bring our games to life, we decided to give development a go! Demonfish's first project was an endless runner game called Woodland Rush - our ambition was to bring more depth and variety to the genre than is usually seen, and also to do that in a charming hand-drawn style.
But it turns out that games are quite hard to make for a handful of people working in their spare-time, and even an endless runner game could be ambitious. With lots of artwork, audio, level-design and bugfixing still to go, we decided to work on some smaller games alongside our main titles. Our first release - Skydiver - is based on a game that Leo prototyped before Demonfish even existed, which the team have brought from a rough draft to a release that we're proud to call our first title!
There's still another game to come before Woodland Rush leaves beta, and then many more after! As we're only a small studio right now, we're targeting smaller, more focused games on mobile - but we have a huge list of potential games we want to make in the future! Feel free to check out our progress on Patreon or our Website, where we will be posting updates on our development process.
We really hope you enjoy playing our games!
